Merger Plan Detailed at PERA NAB Meeting
Executive Directors of both organizations, Lori Rubinstein and John Johnston announced the details of the proposed merger between the Entertainment Services and Technology Association (ESTA) and the Production Equipment Rental Association (PERA) at the PERA membership meeting at NAB.
Under the terms of the proposed plan, a PERA Council will be established within ESTA. The current PERA Board of Directors make up the PERA Council. All current PERA members will be accepted into ESTA Membership and will become Affiliates of the PERA Council. ESTA members who conduct business in the production equipment rental segment of the industry may also elect to become Affiliates of the PERA Council.
The joining of these two organizations will allow a sharing of resources for operational efficiency. A unified dues structure will create a more appealing financial equation for sustaining members. It will create a single professional organization for greater flow of information, education and member support.
